The Journey Begins

Some of you who know me may be thinking "Body Transformation? You look fine, you're not fat" So let me first start off by saying this is not about losing weight and this has nothing to do with me thinking I am fat.

A few weeks ago, I was talking to my boyfriend (amazing might I add) about how much I love Jillian Michaels. I asked him if he thought she looked man-ly, because I think she looks fabulous, and he (like almost everything) agreed with me. I said "Wouldn't it be cool if I looked like that?!" At this point I didn't know if he actually took me seriously, because I didn't take myself seriously.

I work as a homecare provider for a family who recently signed up for a gym membership. The boy that I watch has a personal trainer and I help train him in the gym. Being a soccer coach, and playing sports all throughout high school and college soccer, I am well aware of how to workout, and how to get in shape but I did lack knowledge of how to accomplish the goals that I had set for myself, so I signed up for a free session with a trainer and she pointed me in the right direction. She said the first thing you need to do is eat clean and come see me 2 days a weeks, to make sure you are staying on track with your goal.

So last night I went through the cupboard, and fridge and got rid of all the junk I usually snack on, and went to the grocery store and bought a butt load of veggie's and fruits (never buy fresh cranberries, they are not good to just eat, way to bitter lol).

If anyone is like me, you NEVER want to get up in the morning, and I knew if I did actually get up I wouldn't be very productive, so I made myself stay in the kitchen and make bags of snacks for the week.

This past weekend I went to Borders with my boyfriend and we looked through all the clean-eating books until I found the one I liked. So if any of you are interested in learning my new life style check it out "The Eat-Clean Diet-Recharged" by Tosca Reno. This book has really jumped started my motivation. Its simple to understand and is filled with important facts about the diet.

Before I sign out of here let me to get the point if this blog. My end goal is fully transform my body into a more healthy, vibrant, toned body. As previously stated Jillian Michaels is my inspiration. I am well aware that this goal will not be easy because I am going from eating the junk that I usually do, that taste soooooo good, to eating pure, wholesome, and healthy. Today industries pack all their foods with chemical, toxins and substances that add trans-fats and unneeded calories and crap that our body was not made to handle or digest. Starting this morning, my new lifestyle will be in the making.

I hope you enjoy reading about my journey.

Until next time.
